Poor Opal came here as a stray at 5 weeks old. She is now ready to go to a patient family at 6 months. Adopters will have to be understanding of her situation and enable her to adapt to her new home. We believe she will show her true colors and personality the more the family socializes her. But we strongly advise against too much handling and activity because this may overwhelm her. Like any shelter pet, she will need to adjust on her own terms and we have hopes that she will. Although she is shy, she does show signs of bonding so she definitely has promise to be a more outgoing and confident kitty.
